Volunteer Work Party

Join APRL staff and interns as we put the final touches on the renovation of our new office and work as a group on campaigns like the upcoming foie gras ban. Protest Foie Gras at Cowboy Star
Date: 5/12/12
Time: 7-8pm
Where: 640 Tenth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

Cowboy Star's head chef, is a member of the Coalition for Humane and Ethical Farming (CHEFS). Cowboy Star is one of six San Diego restaurants to mount a last-ditch effort to get SB1520, the bill that bans the sale and production of foie gras in California, repealed. Signs, banners and anti-foie gras literature will be provided, just bring yourself!

North Park Festival of Arts
Date: 5/20/12
Time: 10am - 6pm (2 hour shifts available)
Where: University and 30th Ave. 
Come out to North Park where you can take in the sights, diversity, and the beautiful works of art offered up by various artists.  Help APRL educate attendees on the positive benefits of veggie/vegan lifestyle and compassionate choices in eating.
